چکیده

Understanding the intrinsic strengthening mechanism is of great significance for microstructural design Ni-based single crystal superalloys. In this paper, from an atomistic perspective, interacting between edge dislocation dipole pair and interfacial misfit network has been elaborated. It shown that a dislocations can effectively impede movement matrix dislocations, accommodate pile up pairs in Ni matrix. Furthermore, we have systematically elucidated influence loading rates on stimulating period stiffness Ni/Ni3Al substrate. These findings provide better understanding

Dislocation network with pair-coupling structure in {111} γ/γ′ interface of Ni-based single crystal superalloy

The γ/γ' interface dislocation network is reported to improve the high temperature creep resistance of single crystal superalloys and is usually found to deposit in {001} interface. In this work, a new type of dislocation network was found in {111} γ/γ' interface at a single crystal model superalloy crept at 1100 °C/100 MPa. The dislocations in the network are screw with Burgers vectors of 1/2 ...

Pile - up studies in dislocation - based single crystal gradient plasticity

/department of mechanical engineering Introduction In plastic deformations, which arise due to the motion of dislocations in crystalline microstructure, size effects cannot be neglected at a small scales of observation. Within each grain of a polycrystal, the grain boundaries act as natural obstacles to dislocation motion. Due to the stresses dislocations exert onto each other, dislocations wil...

Modeling displacive–diffusional coupled dislocation shearing of c0 precipitates in Ni-base superalloys

In Ni-base superalloys, superlattice extrinsic stacking fault (SESF) shearing of c0 precipitates involves coupled dislocation glide and atomic diffusion. A phase-field model is developed to study this process, in which the free energy of the system is formulated as a function of both displacement and long-range order parameter. The free energy surface is fitted to various fault energy data obta...

Dislocation-precipitate Interaction in Discrete Dislocation Dynamics

This contribution deals with the numerical simulation of dislocation dynamics by means of parametric mean curvature flow. Dislocations are described as an evolving family of closed and open smooth curves driven by the normal velocity. The equation is solved using direct approach by semi-discrete scheme based on finite difference method. Numerical stability is improved by tangential redistributi...
